Lifetime Achievement Award
Criteria: The recipient should be one whose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the film art; whose accomplishment has been acknowledged by scholars, critics, professional peers and the general public; and whose work has stood the test of time. The recipient should be an individual with active careers and work of significance yet to be accomplished.

Living Legend Award
Criteria： This award aims to honor artists, writers, activists, filmmakers, entertainers, and public servants who have made significant contributions to America's diverse cultural, cinematic and social heritage. The professional accomplishments of the Living Legends have enabled them to provide examples of personal excellence that have benefited others and enriched the nation in a variety of ways.

Trailblazer Award
Criteria: Trailblazer award is given to a leader in the film and media arts industry who has carved innovative paths in the business, established an independent vision, affected social change, and created a strong and widespread appreciation of quality, substantive change in the arts.

Excellent Artist Award
This award aims to honor artists who have made significant contributions to the visual art world and the culture exchanges. Award artists will have corporation with UMFF by creating visual artworks under the guidance of UMFF which can be shown on-site or virtually during the UMFF events.
The recipient should be an individual who is talented, skilled, and creative at visual arts, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, installation art, time based art, and any other 2D or 3D art forms.
